This book was created as a fun, cross-cultural response to the lack of affordable and available sheet music in Khon Kaen, Thailand.

After arriving in Thailand as International Visiting Scholar to Khon Kaen University, Harri began composing songs for and with his students so they had something to practise and perform. This music served as a bridge to the language barriers between teacher and students, as well as encouraging the students to learn how to compose!

This book includes a range of compositions in a range of styles, from Thai morlum and luktung to Australian-Arabic maqams, to complex time signature changes and Radiohead-inspired works. This book is suitable for any instrument and level as it progresses from simple to complex. It also includes rhythmic and composition exercises.

This book aims to share Thai, Isaan and contemporary Australian music with music enthusiasts worldwide.
