A beautiful, heartfelt warm-up dedicated to the LGBTIQ victims of the Orlando shooting. Focus on playing sensitively and in tune, with slow moving chords and a cantabile melody.

Composed with year 2 student Ginger Kurzel, this is an easy yet disgusting warm-up perfect for (immature) young musicians! It also leaves room for musical interpretation by some of the band members. 

KALKARA $20

Named after the picturesque Maltese harbour village of Kalkara, this warm-up layers different melodies and melodic gestures on top of one another in varied combinations. Focus on counting the alternating quaver rests and how many times you’ve repeated each section! This piece was written with Maltese-Australian year 5 student Isabella Sammut.
